Sinamay is a natural, eco-friendly woven fabric made of fibres from the leaves of the abaca tree, a non-edible plant native to the Philippines.
 
Strength: Sinamay is exceptionally tough and much stronger than cotton
It is lightweight and breathable
When dampened or treated with sizing/glue, it can be easily molded and blocked into stiff, dramatic shapes
Sinamay takes dye very well
